Artist statement

In 2007 I journeyed into the realms of motherhood with the birth of my first daughter, Mimi Pearl. Although my attention was given over to a new, divine and all encompassing source, interestingly also, the passion and vigour for my work was greater than ever … although with much less time to attend to it!

Finding source material in my new role as a mother I returned to using more playful content in my image making. Ideas abound as responses to my environment and domestic sphere; much time is spent making quick outlines of potential ideas, note taking and general list making!

At the end of 2009 I gave birth to my second daughter Mira and I am continually  seeking the elusive balance between art & life.
